Price of dry stone walling per tonne - £130 per + VAT and transport - about 2 square metres to a tonne for a single skin wall, or 1 square metre per tonne for a double skinned wall.

Bed widths are from about 5 inches to about 18 inches (plenty of through stones) 

The stone is flat, and with good faces, and so is easy to build large, stable walls fast, substantially reducing the cost of building the wall. 

The high quality dry stone walling dramatically improves the stability

This makes it the best value dry stone walling in the country.
